P.K. Vael

P.K. Vael did not grow up loving books. Like many students, he knew them only as heavy companions to examinations, and somewhere along the way, they convinced him that reading was an obligation rather than a joy.

That changed on a long bus journey through the Himalayas, when he picked up his first work of literature. By the time the mountains had slipped behind him, he had fallen hopelessly in love with words. Until then, love had been just another four-letter word. By the end of that journey, it had become another name for the world.

P.K. Vael writes in search of the quiet places where literature and life finally begin to resemble one another.

The Dialect of Touch is his first novel.
